Who We Are

From the President

Hello Everyone,

Well what a busy month this is going to be.
The new courses are going well for the 5k and we are attracting good numbers, people seem happy with the new starts, separating walkers from runners, and with both courses having loops it means you keep better touch with other participants.
Just a reminder, we operate a roster system for helping at Wednesday's Eddyline 5k series, so if you are able to help due to being injured or whatever, please please put your name down. Colin always timekeeps, so its just recording names , handing out discs or the odd marshalling job that is required. We still have 4 weeks to go !! Lets see if we can get that roster filled.

For those still wanting to order a Club Jacket, Elaine and John will be there again on Wednesday for you to check sizing. We would like to then get this order underway so you can all start enjoying them. If all goes to plan we will have them early April. Remember there is a 50% club discount for paid up club members meaning the cost to you is $38.

Our programme for the up coming season is in the final draft process and will be available soon. Due to many of our club heading to Karamea to do the Oparara Wilderness trail run, we will be having opening day on Saturday 28th April it will be a joint affair with Nelson at The Richmond Aquatic Centre.
This weekend is the ever popular Smugglers Pub Run 3rd March and due to the storm damage the course has had to be remapped, therefore suggest you get there early for Race Briefing so you know where you are going ( It is NOT the same as last year) 3-45 walkers 4-00 runners. Pub runs will continue till the 14th April!! Easter is early this year so the Easter 10k and 5k race will be 30th March.
So many options, so hopefully you'll find plenty to do.

Run wild and free,
Eileen Beattie
