Hi All,

The Queen Charlotte Relay is coming up quickly on Saturday 15th September so we are starting to put together teams from Waimea Harriers. If you would like to be part of a team please let Nicki Alexander know by 3rd September by emailing: nicki.alexander@xtra.co.nz or texting/phoning 021-139-8447. Please indicate if you have a preference of a leg that you would like to do and if you are happy to be a team captain. There are various grades (Open Men/Vet Men/Open Women/Vet Women/Social (mixed)/Walkers) so it will depend on how many people we have wanting to take part as to what grades we enter.

The entry fee for the relay for Waimea Harriers club members will be paid by the club otherwise there will be a cost of $25.00 per person for non-members.

The event starts in Picton 11:30am for walking teams, 1pm for running teams. There are 5 legs ranging from 5k to 8k in length. Its usually a full day event leaving in shared rides from Richmond/Nelson in the morning and returning after drinks and prize giving in Havelock in the early evening.

Friendly reminder, if you are not planning on participating due to injury, please offer your help in setting up or marshalling at our events. Many hands make light work and our roster is up online for you to offer your services.
