Wallace Shield X-Country Series
Race 2 - 21st May
Consecutive Saturdays 14th, 21st & 28th May
Based on 3 laps of a 1.7k course - total 5km for runners, and 2 laps for walkers.
Points awarded each week using different criteria.
Free event, everyone and all abilities welcome.
The second event on 21st May is "Can you go faster?".
Points will be awarded based on your improvement over Race 1!
"Runner" which includes adult & high school students 3 lap runners - 5km
"Walker" which includes all 2 lap walkers - 3.4km
"Junior 3 lap" - 5km
"Junior 2 lap" - 3.4km
"Junior 1 lap" - 1.7km
"Parent" - if you are a parent supporting/running with your child, please register yourself and get a number.
**Juniors for this event are primary/intermediate students.
Each lap is approximately 1.7km.
To be in with a chance of winning the "Wallace Shield", you must attend all three races and compete in the same category each week. You must also be a member of Waimea Harriers - Join HERE.
However everyone is welcome to participate in any of the events and choose whatever category suits them on the day.
This second event is the Totara Course with the meeting point at the Totara Domain.
Registration is from 1.30pm, race briefing 2.20pm and race start for all is 2.30pm.
This is a Webscorer timed event. Use the number that you've been using since last year.
**Juniors check if you have already got a number from last year & check your category.
Juniors will have been automatically entered in the Junior 1 lap category or whatever category they ran in Race 1, if you wish to change, email firstname.lastname@example.org with your details.
