Edridge Contracting Teetotal Traverse
12 October 2025
Organised by Active4Good
Don’t miss out on the chance to be part of this great day out in the Teetotal Flats and Big Bush Conservation Area.
Active4Good - Many Waimea Harriers' members are a part of the non-profit organisation Active4Good, organising and volunteering for these fundraising events.
With three course options, stunning terrain, and a community cause behind it, now’s the time to get your entry in! Sign up before midnight on Thursday 09 October:
Teetotal Traverse Half Marathon - sponsored by Edridge Contracting.
This stunning and testing course encompasses all that the Teetotal / Big Bush Conservation Area has to offer - giving a “taste” of all the terrain. It is open to competent trail runners who can currently cover a road half marathon in 2hrs 30mins.
Big Bush Kākā Challenge 13km - sponsored by Alpine Lodge.
You will start on the same path as the Half Marathon course with the stunning black beech stretch along the Big Bush Ridge. From there it’s down the flowing Kākā track, across the tussock flats and home. A current 10km in 1hr 30mins or under is the Qualifier.
Skating Pond Stride 8km - sponsored by Bruce Batty, Summit Real Estate.
A gentler, shorter option - this path follows easy terrain through bush, tussock flats and manuka groves taking in the pure alpine air. Open to all.
Enjoy a pre-ordered $27 pizza & salad lunch at Alpine Lodge after the event, but get in quick - orders close at midnight Wednesday 08 October.
